New Danish Business Outlook on China is out now

20 May 2021

What is the current short-term outlook of Danish companies doing business in China? Overall, it's improving slightly, at a level comparable to last quarter.

The Danish Business Outlook on China index tracks the Danish business community’s outlook on doing business in China on a quarterly basis, and the May index is out now.

The improvements are noticeable especially in terms of China as a market, and most significantly among companies in the more consumer-oriented sectors such as food and design and lifestyle.

The current travel regulations’ impact

Asked specifically about travel regulations governing entry into China, more than four out of ten companies report it has had no impact on their outlook this quarter. That's as many as the number stating that current travel regulations into China has negatively impacted their outlook.

Data is collected from Danish company members of the Danish Chamber of Commerce in China and the Danish-Chinese Business Forum.
