SDC annual report out now

The SDC Annual Report for 2024 has been published.

Denmark’s approach to knowledge collaboration with China has changed in recent years, and SDC plays an important role in increasing the understanding of China and strengthening the cooperation with strong Chinese research environments. Global climate and environmental challenges require cross-border collaboration, and China is a key player. Therefore, Denmark and China strengthened their cooperation on solving global challenges by launching a Green Joint Work Programme in August 2023, which now guides SDC’s activities.

In 2024, SDC has enjoyed opening the doors to for a wide range of activities in China and Denmark.

The environment is a common language

In May, more than 120 researchers, government officials, and business representatives from Denmark and China gathered in Denmark for the SDC Symposium to strengthen research collaborations.

For the first time: SDC Innovation Ideathon

The first interdisciplinary “SDC Innovation Ideathon” was held in China, with 120 Master’s students and 25 mentors from companies and universities participating.

High interest in study trip to China

There was great interest in the available spots when the University of Copenhagen, in collaboration with Aarhus University, offered a study trip to China for bachelor students interested in nanoscience.

Joint publications

In 2024, we have registered nearly 400 scientific publications within the SDC framework.
