SDC annual report out now
The SDC annual report for 2025 has been published.
In 2025, it was 75 years since Denmark and China established diplomatic relations, and in January, Minister for Higher Education and Science Christina Egelund travelled to China to further develop cooperation on education, research and innovation.
As part of the visit, the Minister visited SDC in Beijing together with a delegation including rectors and pro-rectors from several Danish universities. They met with students and discussed the framework for education and research cooperation with the leadership of UCAS.
Employment survey among graduates
In the spring, SDC conducted an employment survey among all graduates to date. The analysis showed, among other things, that the employment rate among SDC graduates is high and that many graduates continue on to PhD programmes. Danish graduates are primarily employed in Denmark, but also in China and other countries both within and outside the EU.
Analysis of PhD projects at Danish universities
Since 2011, the Danish SDC Secretariat has co-financed more than 300 PhD programmes.
In the autumn, the SDC Secretariat conducted an analysis of the Danish PhD initiative to assess the value it has created for the SDC collaboration, Danish universities and, ultimately, Danish society.
The employment rate among PhD graduates is high, and the majority are subsequently employed in Denmark. This applies especially to graduates with Danish citizenship, but also to a majority of graduates with citizenship other than Danish.
