Jakob Fritz Hansen joins the Danish Board of SDC
Jakob Fritz Hansen, Director of the Office for Research, Advice and Innovation at DTU joins the Danish Board of SDC.
Over the past two decades, Jakob Fritz Hansen has held a range of positions at the Technical University of Denmark, and he has worked with everything from student affairs to innovation, industry collaboration, international alliances, research commercialisation and research support. For the past two years, he has dealt with supporting DTU’s strategic international collaborations and alliances in his role as Director of the Office for Research, Advice and Innovation.
‘Over the years, I have gained an extensive insight into how a university is run and the conditions that apply to being a part of collaborations across borders and I am excited to bring those experiences into play in the board. SDC is special, because it brings the entire Danish university sector together in an international partnership that also prompts collaboration between Danish institutions,’ says Jakob Fritz Hansen.
A unique link to China
Although he has not been directly involved until now, Jakob Fritz Hansen has followed the development since the beginning and believes SDC has something unique to offer the Danish universities.
‘There are rare competences within SDC that the Danish university sector can take advantage of, especially experience with and knowledge of how to interact and build relations with Chinese in China,’ says Jakob Fritz Hansen, who will attend his first board meeting on 7 April.
Jakob Fritz Hansen replaces Philip John Binning as DTU’s representative in the Danish Board of SDC.
